Michiel is a tax director at PwC’s Dutch desk in New York representing the US Tax Group of PwC Netherlands. In his role, Michiel is involved in cross-border tax planning, due diligence and deal structuring for U.S. and Dutch multinationals and private equity funds.
Michiel’s expertise includes overall Dutch and international tax structuring, debt structuring, withholding tax planning, transaction taxes, partnership planning, mergers and splits, negotiating
rulings, tax due diligence reviews, refinancing transactions and IP planning in various industries.
Prior to beginning his work in New York, Michiel was a member of the US Tax Group of PwC Netherlands. In this capacity he assisted US multinationals and private equity funds investing in the Netherlands.
Michiel obtained his tax economics degree from the University of Amsterdam and his European and international tax law degree from the International Tax Centre in Leiden. Michiel is a member of the Bar of Dutch tax advisors (NOB).
